If you've never given Sic Bo a real chance, 2026 is the year to start.
What Is Sic Bo?
Sic Bo (骰寶, meaning "precious dice") is a Chinese dice game with roots spanning centuries. Three standard dice are placed in a chest or electronic shaker. Players bet on the outcome of the three-dice roll before the result is revealed.
The game board looks complex at first glance — dozens of betting zones with different payouts. But the core game is simple: predict aspects of the three-dice result.

The Betting Options: From Simple to Exotic
Small and Big Bets (Best for Beginners)
The simplest bets in Sic Bo:
- Small: Total of three dice is 4–10. Pays 1:1. House edge: 2.78%
- Big: Total is 11–17. Pays 1:1. House edge: 2.78%
Exception: Both Small and Big bets lose if all three dice show the same number (Triple). This is what creates the house edge.
These are the bets Filipino beginners should start with.
Specific Number Totals
Bet on the exact sum of all three dice. Payouts vary by total:
| Total | Payout | House Edge |
|---|---|---|
| 4 or 17 | 60:1 | 15.28% |
| 5 or 16 | 30:1 | 13.89% |
| 6 or 15 | 17:1 | 16.67% |
| 7 or 14 | 12:1 | 9.72% |
| 8 or 13 | 8:1 | 12.50% |
| 9 or 12 | 6:1 | 18.98% |
| 10 or 11 | 6:1 | 12.50% |
Note: The higher the payout, the worse the house edge. The 60:1 payout on 4 or 17 looks attractive — but you're more likely to win consistently on Small/Big bets.
Double Bet
Bet that at least two of the three dice show a specific number (1–6). Pays 10:1. House edge: 18.52%.
Triple Bet (Any Triple or Specific Triple)
- Any Triple: All three dice show the same number (any). Pays 30:1.
- Specific Triple: All three dice show a specific number. Pays 180:1.
These are the casino's favorite bets. The house edge on specific triples is 16.2%. Exciting, yes. Value, no.
Combination Bet
Bet that two specific numbers appear on any two of the three dice. Pays 6:1. House edge: 2.78% — tied with Small/Big for the best odds in the game.
Live Sic Bo Strategy for Filipino Players
The Smart Approach: Small/Big + Combination
The optimal Sic Bo strategy combines:
- A Small or Big bet (1:1, 2.78% edge)
- A Combination bet (6:1, 2.78% edge)
This gives you two bets with the best house edges, diversifying your exposure per roll. When both hit simultaneously, your session profit can be strong.
Avoid the Triple Bets
Triple bets are Sic Bo's equivalent of lottery tickets — low probability, high payout, terrible long-term value. They're fine for small entertainment bets. They're not a strategic foundation.
Bet Sizing
Sic Bo rolls happen every 20–30 seconds in the live game. At 120 rolls per hour, even modest bet sizes accumulate significant total wagered volume. Size conservatively — ₱50–100 base bet at a ₱10,000 session budget.
Why Live Sic Bo at VOSLOT Stands Out
Evolution Gaming's live Sic Bo at VOSLOT features beautiful production quality, professional Asian dealers who understand the cultural weight of the game for Filipino players, and interactive features including betting statistics that show what percentage of players are on each bet zone.
These statistics aren't predictive — dice have no memory — but they create a sense of community that makes live Sic Bo feel more like a Filipino casino floor experience than any digital slot can offer.
Rating: 8.2/10 — Underrated, accessible, and genuinely enjoyable.
