Midas Fortune transforms the ancient legend of King Midas — the king whose touch turned everything to gold — into one of PG Soft's most thematically coherent high-volatility slots. Every mechanic reinforces the mythology: symbols turn gold on wins, the Midas Wild converts surrounding symbols, and the free spins round unfolds inside the king's golden treasury. Filipino players who enjoy mythology-themed slots with serious win potential will find Midas Fortune one of PG Soft's most satisfying releases.

Midas Fortune Aesthetic and Theme
PG Soft's visual designers have rendered Midas' kingdom in decadent detail: golden statues frozen mid-motion (transformed subjects of the king), treasure rooms overflowing with gold ingots, and King Midas himself depicted with a regretful grandeur that references the tragic dimension of the legend. The reels are framed in ornate gold filigree that literally glows on wins.
The transformation animations — symbols turning from stone to gold during wild expansions — are subtle storytelling that distinguishes Midas Fortune from purely mechanical slots.
Midas Fortune Symbol Breakdown
| Symbol | Function |
|---|---|
| King Midas Wild | Substitutes, converts adjacent symbols to gold |
| Gold Rose | Top premium — 5× pays 250× stake |
| Golden Goblet, Crown | Mid-tier premiums |
| Gold Coin, Ring | Low-mid premiums |
| Golden Scatter | Triggers free spins |
| A, K, Q, J | Low-pay symbols |
The King Midas Wild is the game's defining mechanic: in addition to substituting for all symbols, it converts up to 3 adjacent symbols into Gold Copies of their type. Gold Copies are worth 3× their normal value in winning combinations.
Midas Fortune Golden Touch Wild Mechanic
The conversion mechanic works as follows:
- King Midas Wild lands on any reel
- Wild evaluates up to 3 adjacent symbols (horizontally and diagonally)
- Converts those symbols to Gold versions (glowing gold appearance)
- Payline wins are calculated — Gold symbols pay 3× their standard value
- Gold Copies remain as gold for the current spin only (base game) or persist (free spins)
A King Midas Wild adjacent to the top-paying Gold Rose symbols creates a scenario where 3 converted Gold Roses each pay 3× their normal value — with the wild substituting in a line as well, the single wild landing effectively produces 6–8 separate enhanced payouts from one symbol.
Midas Fortune Free Spins Bonus
Landing 3 or more Golden Scatter symbols triggers the King's Treasury free spins:
- 3 Scatters → 8 free spins
- 4 Scatters → 12 free spins
- 5 Scatters → 18 free spins
King's Treasury Features:
- Gold Copies from King Midas Wild persist for the full free spins round (accumulate across spins)
- Gold value escalates: each new conversion of an already-Gold symbol increases its value to 5× → 8× → 12× standard
- A Golden Reel feature randomly turns an entire reel to King Midas Wilds on select free spins
- Retrigger: 3+ Scatters adds 8 free spins (Gold Copy accumulation continues)
The escalating Gold value mechanic is Midas Fortune's most distinctive feature. By the end of a 18-spin trigger where multiple symbols have been converted repeatedly, premium symbols pay up to 12× their standard value. A retrigger that continues the accumulation can push individual symbol values even higher — the 5,000x ceiling becomes achievable in these compound conversion scenarios.
Midas Fortune High Volatility Profile
Midas Fortune is genuinely high variance. Base game sessions can run 80–150 spins without a significant hit. The Golden Touch wild mechanic provides intermittent base game relief — Midas Wild landings with adjacent premium symbols can produce strong single-spin payouts without requiring free spins.
Session Planning
Filipino players who regularly play PG Soft high-volatility titles report that Midas Fortune benefits from a minimum 150-spin session budget. The Golden Reel feature during free spins — entire-reel wilds — can transform even modest free spins triggers into exceptional results.
Midas Fortune Strategy for Filipino Players
Track Gold accumulation during free spins. The escalating Gold value (3× → 5× → 8× → 12×) makes later spins in an extended free spins round dramatically more valuable. Don't assess a free spins trigger by its early-spin performance — the value concentrates as accumulation builds.
Retrigger priority. A retrigger during Midas Fortune free spins doesn't reset the Gold accumulation — it continues building. A retrigger into an already-loaded grid (multiple high-value Gold symbols) is Midas Fortune's highest-EV scenario.
Complement with lower-variance options. For session balance between Midas Fortune's high variance and medium-volatility titles, alternating with Caishen Wins provides a rhythm of consistent returns punctuated by high-upside sessions.
